Terre Haute has proven to be fruitful with talented players.
This Spring I will be beginning a series of performances with a new trio featuring Eric Schatz (bass) and Al Doti (drums)…

also, this trio just so happens to make up 3/4 of the rhythm section to
The Leonard Washingtons
We will be playing around the mid-west starting in March and hopefully further in all directions soon thereafter.
Cheers

A CALL TO ALL STRING PLAYERS!!!!! Or if you don’t play any stings, come and enjoy the sights and sounds!!!!!!
Last month, Andrew Noble and I gathered a handful of string players together and performed a series of improvised exercises and disciplines resulting in a fantastic collage of beautiful soundscapes. We where extremely fortunate to perform at Art House as a part of an exhibition by British artist Graham Hudson, who through the use of scaffolding has built a massive structure designed after the Astoria Theatre. (Check out the photos)
Well, we had so much fun…we ‘re doing it again! But this time we are going to have 2 live rehearsals where we go over the basic concepts and then a performance during this year’s Fast Forward Fest.
This time we want more people to play with us and for more people to come out and experience it!

Feb 18 Poly Hem kick started its newest phase at Art House as a part of Graham Hudson’s installment piece Rehearsal at the Astoria. It was a great experience and a successful start to our new project.
Here is a slide show I through together along with audio of our first piece Tuning Meditation (concept borrowed from composer Pauline Oliveros).
